WHAT WE DO...
Two Roads International Film Festival (TRIFF) is a quarterly online competition that feeds into a live Annual Event. Every two months, the jury of TRIFF makes an Official Selection of films that compete for several recognitions from the Awards Categories list. Certain films from the Official Selection will go on to compete at the live event, which occurs in New York City.
HOW WE WORK...
The submitter ultimately must do one thing: choose her or his "path." A path is the branch in which the submitter's film competes. The two paths are "INNOVATION" and "INSPIRATION": both of which are non-exclusive categories, meaning those categories should not scare you away. They're simply the subjective concept behind the Official Selection that we aim for.
WHAT YOU GET...
Award laurels, social media coverage, screen time & recognition, networking opportunities, and a chance to win a trophy are what we have to offer you.
WHAT WE LIKE...
We of course enjoy films that include our themes: innovation or inspiration. Films that celebrate where the filmmaking medium is headed and how past works have inspired current submissions are the heart of our festival.
Films that have a solid production value are wonderful. However, we do regard the intended quality of the video. For example, if a film is meant to be presented in 720p, we regard that as a choice (for better or for worse). Most importantly, we do not exclude "no--/micro--budget films" of any sort. We judge solely based on creative merit as we see fit.
WHAT WE DON'T LIKE...
If you decide your film doesn't matter to us. SUBMIT!
Please understand that any film submitted to the Quarterly Competition BEFORE January 1st, 2020, competes in the Beta Quarterly Competition. There is essentially no difference between the Beta and regular Competitions. The Beta Competition exists solely for the purpose of expanding the amount of films eligible for the first Golden Brick Competition in December, 2020.
